Mission

The Pine Cone Festival was established to create an identity for the Rim Communities of the San Bernardino Mountains by providing a seasonal festival that highlights the mountain environment, educates and invites visitors to experience our unique setting year round. The festival provides interactive activities for families and opportunities for local craftsmen, artists, retailers and non-profit organizations to participate and benefit financially.

Developed by a group of mountain citizens, the Pine Cone Festival and its activities are meant to enhance the options for locals and visitors to enjoy the San Bernardino mountains. The October event is coordinated by volunteer board members of the non-profit festival, including members of the Pine Rose Cabins, Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council, First Mountain Bank, Church of the Woods, Rim Family Services and Rim of the World Recreation & Park District. Held at The Park District's Twin Peaks Recreation Complex, the event is centrally located for residents from Crestline to Running Springs, yet a short drive up from the valley.

In its seventh year, the Festival is supported by numerous local organizations and businesses. Because of this support, we are able to keep this a FREE event. It has been a very successful festival and we know it will only get better each year. The planning group welcomes your suggestions and participation.

2012 was a special year as the Festival was recognized in the Auto Club's October edition of Westways Magazine as one of its "5 Worth the Drive!
.

We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters who make this event possible! Please let them know how great they are to support this Free Family event!

See you at the Pine Cone Festival October 12, 2013!
